Physiotherapy Marketing: Start with one simple mindset switch.

Salesman

Guest blog on physiotherapy marketing strategies – written by my friend, The Sleazy Salesman!

Over an illustrious career, the Salesman has been one of the top rated physiotherapists on Google for many years, with over 600 five star reviews.

physio marketing

Hey there fellow physios!

Hold onto your hats and prepare for a physiotherapy marketing revelation that’s about to blow your socks off.

Get ready for four words that’ll make your marketing sing like never before.

Picture Jerry Maguire, sitting in his office getting goaded by Rod Tidwell about to shout out the famous phrase “show me the money”.

Jerry Maguire: That’s, that’s great. I’m very… happy.
Rod Tidwell: Are you listenin’?
Jerry Maguire: Yes!
Rod Tidwell: That’s what I’m gonna do for you: God bless you, Jerry. But this is what you gonna do for me. You listenin’, Jerry?
Jerry Maguire: Yeah, what, what, what can I do for you, Rod? You just tell me what can I do for you?
Rod Tidwell: It’s a very personal, a very important thing. Hell, it’s a family motto. Are you ready, Jerry?
Jerry Maguire: I’m ready.
Rod Tidwell: I wanna make sure you’re ready, brother. Here it is:

“I am the product”

The (not-so) sleazy salesman

Yep, you read that right.

This one simple statement holds the key to turning your marketing upside down and shaking it by the ankles.

You see, you’re not merely hawking physiotherapy – your (sic) selling YOURSELF.

In a nutshell, you’re peddling the golden opportunity for clients to spend precious time with you.

How’s this gonna change your physiotherapy marketing?

Forget about parading around with fancy techniques or bragging about the latest strength testing gear in your gym.

Your clients are knocking on your door for your expertise and the privilege of learning straight from the horse’s mouth.

So, when you’re cooking up content ideas for your social pages, just keep it dead simple.

Snapshots of yo-self! – and not just as a physiotherapist, but as a real, living, breathing human being.

Flaunt your personal side: meandering along the beach, playing sports, hanging out with your kids, nieces/nephews; whatever you love doing.

People want to see your human side and the fun vibes that you bring to the table. They need a break from all of that, “information”.

They want to see the story BEHIND the story. It’s these little glimpses that spark emotional connections, and marketing is all about kindling those flames.

When clients can’t stop raving about their top-notch physiotherapist, they’ll whip out their phones and bring up your clinic’s socials or – even better – your own professional page to show off your shining personality.

They’ll boast, “This is the legend I spend time with every week, who helps me conquer my pain and can do the same for you.”

And before you leave off, don’t forget to throw in a little thing called a CTA!

So go ahead, fellow Physiotherapists, and embrace your inner (not-so) Sleazy Salesman.

Know that YOU are the product that people are gunning to purchase.

Put yourself front and centre and watch the dollares roll in.

For anyone new here, the Sleazy Salesman is a caricature from one of my original blog pieces, physio philosophy.

He is the inner marketing and sales extraordinaire.
